| The OpenSTLinux distribution is a Linux® distribution based on the OpenEmbedded build framework. This one is the recommended build system of the Yocto Project that is "an open source collaboration project that helps developers create custom Linux-based systems that are designed for embedded products regardless of the product’s hardware architecture"[1].
The OpenSTLinux distribution article specifies the machine, image and distro features. The different Linux® filesystems (included pseudo filesystems) are introduced by the OpenSTLinux filesystem overview. The launcher application is the user interface shown on the board's display when the boot process is complete (see the OpenSTLinux starter packages): several applications might be selected through the touchscreen. |
